Susan "Soozy" started baking grain-free snacks that fit within Mason’s dietary restrictions: grain-free, gluten-free, low-sugar and nutrient-rich. After struggling with a variety of health issues, Mason started focusing on consuming only real, whole, recognizable foods, and removed grains, gluten and refined sugar from his diet. To their surprise, they couldn’t find any baked goods that weren’t filled with refined sugar, highly processed grains or gums, so they took matters into their own hands.
Batch after batch, Susan and Mason refused to compromise on taste, nutrition or ingredients, and were determined to create a baked good that checked all of the boxes. Hundreds of batches later, she baked a blueberry muffin that was a hit. After sharing with their friends, family, co-workers and neighbors, requests for more goodies poured in. As people began to express how wonderful it was to enjoy baked goods for the first time in years, that actually made them feel good... Soozy’s Grain-Free was born.
